Love working with natural materials?
Join fibre artist Glen Wilkinson in a full day weaving workshop.
Reusing fibres selected from garden pruning, you will be guided to assemble a woven artwork inspired by the natural form. Glen encourages individual self-expression, an appreciation of the beauty of the natural world and its materials, to find joy in the creative process and a sense of achievement at all levels of personal involvement.
Suitable for beginner weavers or those with a bit of experience who are interested in learning random weave technique.
Glen’s work is on display in the Gallery from 11 May – 17 July. Utilities – an exhibition of utilitarian vessels and forms that draw attention to the colour, texture and other overlooked aesthetic qualities of discarded fibre commonly found in garden waste.
