With Christmas coming up, not only are we feeling busy – we’re also concerned about the outgoing costs of buying Christmas presents. A toy & clothes swap is a great way to extend the life of these items, save you money and resources by swapping rather than buying new.
Plus you get to pass on some of those much loved, or unused toys & clothes, while picking up some “new” ones that your little one can enjoy at little to no cost. Everyone wins. Your children get some new playthings for Christmas while saving you money and the environment’s resources are protected!
Golden rule: Only bring toys you’d be happy giving to a friend. No broken, damaged or dirty toys past their play-by date accepted.
HOW IT WORKS:
Give Lightly – Eco-Friendly Christmas campaign is a series of FREE swaps and workshops this November. It is delivered by Living Lightly, the Sustainable Living program of Coffs Harbour City Council in collaboration with MIDWASTE.
Thanks to local venues Moonee Marketplace, Beachstone Bar and Café, Nourished Earth, Toormina Gardens and the Coffs Growers Market.
