Paddle our Parks Coffs Creek


Join local Gumbaynggirr Elder and NPWS ranger Uncle Mark Flanders for this paddling adventure. You’ll journey back in time as you meander along this delightful waterway. You’ll hear about the fascinating Aboriginal cultural heritage and historic values of Coffs Creek. Uncle Mark will tell you about his experience of growing up in this special place. Learn about this rich natural ecosystem teeming with fascinating birds, wildlife and vegetation. You’ll also talk about urban development and climate change, and the serious threats they pose to this protected area. Previous canoeing experience is not required.
Meeting point
Marcia Street boat ramp. Meet at 8.45am.
NPWS provides canoes, paddles and paddling instructions.
It’s a good idea to bring a picnic lunch, shady hat, sunscreen and drinking water.
