The Festival of Solar is the first event for the Coffs Coast Science Hub’s Elemental Nature series. Hosted by Coffs Harbour City Council in collaboration with the Centre for Ecological Learning, Bellingen Shire Electricity Alliance, Office of Environment and Heritage and a host of local and regional individuals and organisations, the festival will explore the latest opportunities in residential solar, electric vehicles, battery banks and the potential to redistribute power locally.
Delve into real stories from real people who are living the change and hear from local scientists and industry specialists about the science of energy innovation, how it works and hear about the options available for community participation now and into the future. The festival extends a special invitation to all local and regional Electric Vehicle owners and enthusiasts to head along for the inaugural Coffs Coast EV Show and Shine. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and see the latest models and their features. A prize will be awarded for the vehicle that has travelled the greatest distance on a single charge.
Ask all your specific questions about solar technologies one-on-one at our ‘speed date a solar expert’ session or drop in for the DIY electric bike demo and see some of the latest off-the-shelf models.
Grab a coffee and something to eat and join our short, ‘TedX’ style, Q&A sessions covering everything from tariffs, technology and newest system features, to next level renewable, EV’s batteries or both, and how to get the most out of your solar.
The Festival of Solar is a dynamic day of discovery, inspiration and connection to set residents and the Coffs Coast on the road to a sustainable future. This is a family-friendly event with lots of parking. Food and coffee available all day – drop in and get connected to the latest in solar technology.
